Lots of Secrets I love this week

Some weeks I relate to more secrets than others…

I am pretty happy with where I am in my life right now, but it would be pretty great to have someone to share that with. I know a few people that have turned to online dating and had some success. Personally, I haven’t ever had the guts to put myself out there like that. When I saw this post it made me realize why. (J, I think you deserve a better story too!)

I love that Halloween gives people an excuse to dress a little (or in some cases a lot) more revealing than they would in normal life.

This was just too cute!
I love my celeb magazines! I don’t think that it’s that I care more about their lives than my own relatives, it’s just that celebs lives are a bit more exciting!

Halloween

Tomorrow I’m going to the Monster Mash with my new friend MO and some of her friends! It’s going to be a blast. Tonight we went shopping and I got this Leg Avenue Bumble Bee Costume…I’m sure I won’t look as sassy as she does, but I still think it will be cute! What happened to Halloween when we were little and we just had to look cute in some home made felt costume?

My little brother John and me, circa 1986. My mom was so proud of her home made crayon costumes!

New Boyfriend!

Yesterday I got a new man! It’s pretty exciting…I picked him up at Best Buy! He has a sexy British accent (I’ve always wanted to date an English man) and he’s super cute! I love him already and we’ve only just met. Truth be told I’ve been eyeing him for a few months now…Did you honestly think I would be so lucky as to pick up an English man at Best Buy? Jude Law is not running up and down Independence Ave. waiting for me! I got a GPS, a much needed addition to my life!
The greatest part is that I’ve programmed it to talk to me in the “English Daniel” accent, so now I have a portable boyfriend to ride around with me all day long! I should do much better at not getting lost! Thank goodness!

My vote is for…

Mike said that I had to pick, and so I choose Saleisha as my favorite. I’m not sure if this is good or bad, since each time that I choose a favorite they get kicked off that week.

Dear Saleisha,

Please have a good shoot tonight. I know you have it in you. Bring it!

Your fan,

Sara

How true

I know that life in the ER isn’t like Grey’s, but they always say some things that ring so true to life…
“In life, only one thing is certain, apart from death and taxes. No matter how hard you try, no matter how good your intentions, you are going to make mistakes. You’re going to hurt people. You’re going to get hurt. And if you ever want to recover… there’s really only one thing you can say.”
“Forgive and forget. That’s what they say. It’s good advice, but it’s not very practical. When someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back. When someone wrongs us, we want to be right. Without forgiveness, old scores are never settled… old wounds never heal. And the most we can hope for, is that one day we’ll be lucky enough to forget.”
-Meredith Grey, Grey’s Anatomy

Holding On

All of us wake up every morning and live for a purpose. Some live for their family, passions, work, God. These are the things that keep us holding on through thick and thin.

Today I visited my Grandfather in the hospital, for what will be one of the last times I see him alive. I can’t help but think about all of the things that he lives for. He has been married for 53 years, has 10 children, 17 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Family is what keeps him going.

He also has amazing faith. I admire his passion and strength for the church. It makes me realize that I need to put more faith in God, and live less for me and others, and more for him. My grandfather has received his “last rights” or “living rights” three times, and is still around to talk about it. He knows that his time is drawing near and he is afraid. Not of what will come at the end, but what will happen to his family when he goes.

He has lived an amazing life and I will miss him.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he continues to hold on.

Hangover Hell

In case you care, I’m super hungover and stuck on a bus filled with work people on the way to the airport.

Some things in life are worth paying for though…last night I went out in South Beach to Mansion and partied with my work boys and danced my booty off pretty much all night long. It was good time for the most part, until I had to wake up after only 3 hours of sleep.

PS- A word to the wise…Don’t snoop unless you’re 100% prepared for the worst. Trust me on this one. I am currently embarrassed and at a loss for words after a mini snoop session during my adventure last night. If you feel the need to snoop, trust your gut. More than likely- you’ll be right.
